e-Vermont: The Vermont Community Broadband Project is a new initiative to help rural Vermont towns take full advantage of the Internet to advance a wide variety of local needs including economic development, school innovation, job creation, downtown marketing, community engagement, and e-commerce.

The Center for Media and Democracy (CCTV) provides training, tools and channels for activists and public agencies to expand their reach and impact democratic social change.

The Front Porch Forum hosts networks of online neighborhood forums that blanket metro areas. In its pilot, it covers all of Chittenden County, Vermont with 130 forums and 12,000 households subscribe, including one-third of Burlington, Vermont's largest city.

RETN (Regional Educational Technology Network) is a local producer and provider of media for learning in the Champlain Valley community.

Vermont Community Access Media is a non-profit organization that provides local citizens with access to training and state-of-the-art digital video tools as a means of personal, political and artistic self expression.

The Vermont Department of Public Service, which regulates the telecommunications industry in Vermont, has a variety of resources, including a statewide broadband map. 

The Vermont Telcommunications Commission's mission is "To insure that every corner of the State has access to the Internet at high speed, mobile data and the cellular phone network by the end of 2010."  You can test your connection speed, or plot your location on a Google Map to show others what Internet access is available in your neighborhood.

The Vermont Rural Broadband Project is a group of individuals and small businesses are working together to make the needs of their community known, and to make sure that a service is provided.
